Tom Lee predicts a monster move for Bitcoin and Ether in Q4, please, we’d love that

-

Tom Lee is shouting from the Crypto Mount Olympus. The Fundstrat co-founder and BitMine chairman just laid down a prophecy on CNBC that Bitcoin and Ether are gearing up for an explosive rally in the last quarter of the year.

The secret sauce? The Federal Reserve’s easing monetary policy and a liquidity windfall that could turn this market from a simmer into a full boil. Hell yeah!

Potential rate cut

Lee’s cards see the Fed cutting rates, finally. We’re talking about a 25 basis points slice off the current rates, maybe a smidge more, stirring fresh confidence into the markets.

Lee compares this potential move to Fed moments in September 1998 and, intriguingly, earlier in 2024, when easing cycles sparked big bull runs in equities and crypto alike. He calls it “a monster move” with a capital H-U-G-E.

Liquidity is king

Bitcoin, Lee says, is a creature of liquidity. When the Fed loosens the monetary reins, Bitcoin perks up, and with Ether, the story gets even funkier.

Lee paints Ethereum as a downtown Wall Street veteran circa 1971, right when the dollar shed its gold shackles and innovation exploded.

Ethereum is riding that wave of innovation, especially with AI and blockchain melding into the mainstream like some futuristic jazz band.

BitMine is playing hardball, snapping up over 2.15 million ETH, close to 1.8% of all Ether in existence, turning the asset accumulation game into a spectacle worthy of Wall Street’s prime time.

Crypto portfolio

Why does this matter? Because Lee believes this quarter’s trade might just be the jewel in the crypto crown for 2025, powered by Fed wizardry and Wall Street’s new love affair with blockchain.

So, sit tight, if Fed policy nudges work their magic, your favorite crypto combo might stage a comeback big enough to shake up your portfolio.
