GUNZ, the newest gaming blockchain

-

Let me tell you something, there’s a new player in town, and it’s shaking up the gaming world.

Meet GUNZ, a Layer 1 blockchain platform built by Gunzilla Games, the studio behind some of your favorite AAA titles like Call of Duty, Halo, and Crysis.

But this isn’t just another crypto project, it’s a revolution designed to blend high-performance gaming with blockchain technology. And guess what? Binance is backing it. Hello big leagues.

What’s the deal with GUNZ?

GUNZ isn’t just a blockchain, it’s tailor-made for gaming. Forget those general-purpose blockchains that try to do everything, this one focuses solely on creating seamless experiences for gamers and developers.

Players can own, trade, and even rent their in-game assets, all powered by the platform’s native token, $GUN.

Whether you’re a casual gamer or a blockchain enthusiast, GUNZ has something for everyone.

Of course, you don’t have to step into crypto if you don’t want to. The platform integrates smoothly with Web2 systems, meaning traditional gamers can enjoy their favorite titles without ever touching a digital wallet.

For those who do want to explore blockchain features, it’s an opt-in system, no pressure, no hassle.

Built by legends

This isn’t some amateur operation. Gunzilla Games boasts a team of over 450 industry veterans, including talent from Battlefield and Far Cry.

Oh, and did I mention Neill Blomkamp? Yep, the director of District 9 is leading the charge here.

With contributions from sci-fi author Richard K. Morgan (Altered Carbon), this team isn’t just building games, they’re crafting worlds, literally.

And they’re not stopping at game development. Gunzilla recently acquired Game Informer, one of gaming’s most respected publications. Clearly, they’re aiming for more than just great games, they want influence.

Off The Grid is the flagship game

At the heart of GUNZ is Off The Grid, a battle royale game built with Unreal Engine 5 that combines PvP combat with 60 hours of PvE content.

But with a Web3 twist OTG introduces Extraction Royale, where players collect HEX items that can be turned into NFTs.

These NFTs aren’t just shiny trophies, but they’re tradable assets you can use in-game or sell on external marketplaces. But as mentioned, participation in crypto features is optional.

The game supports free-to-play modes on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. No wallet? No problem.

Since its early access release, OTG has smashed records on the Epic Games Store, even dethroning Fortnite.

It also snagged Game of the Year at the 2024 GAM3 Awards. If that doesn’t scream “blockchain done right,” I don’t know what does.
