Bitfinex report: no altseason til more ETFs

-

Bitcoin dominance slipped about 6% in the past month, which normally has people whispering here comes altseason!

You know, that magical time when altcoins catch fire and everyone’s portfolio looks like a winner.

But the big shot analysts over at Bitfinex are telling us, nope, that boom ain’t here yet. They say it all boils down to one thing, crypto ETFs.

Rising tide lifts all boats, but not today

Bitcoin’s been the king, but alts? They’re hungry fighters waiting for their shot at glory.

Bitfinex, trusted in the crypto game, drops a line saying altcoins won’t start their big rally until the big ETFs hit the scene.

These ETFs basically hand investors a golden ticket to the riskier, juicier parts of crypto. No ETF?

No party. Bitfinex paints a picture, no rising tide lifts all boats vibe until later this year when Bitcoin products get more juice and altcoin ETFs roll out.

Where’s the enthusiasm?

The market’s got this muted trajectory, that’s financial talk for meh, not exactly on fire.

Investors are walking on eggshells, more cautious than a waiter balancing a tray of drinks in a windy bar.

The big money isn’t rushing in like a football crowd at halftime. It’s more of a slow, steady walk. Bitfinex notes this is a far cry from the wild enthusiasm we saw during all-time high rallies.

And as always, not everyone’s on the same team. Over at Coinbase Institutional, another well-known expert, David Duong is tossing a different card on the table.

He believes things might heat up sooner, hinting we could be rolling into a full-blown altseason come September. He’s basically saying the crowd might get loud and rowdy real soon.

No ETF for you

On the other hand, the SEC is playing hardball, delaying decisions on crypto ETF applications.

Bitcoin-Ethereum ETFs from Truth Social? Still pending. Solana ETFs from 21Shares and Bitwise?

Also in limbo. Even XRP’s waiting in the wings. So, while the regulators take their sweet time, everyone’s guessing which ETFs will crash the party next.
