Powell expressed his support for Trump as the only major candidate currently pushing for policies that favor the cryptocurrency industry, instead of hindering it, like the current administration.

Powell said he don’t want to hesitate to join other industry leaders in supporting the only major party candidate who is pro-crypto, an plan to keep the United States at the forefront of blockchain technology and crypto industry.

They’re protecting investors, but no one knows which ones?

Powell also criticized President Joe Biden’s approach to regulating the crypto industry, not with rules, but with power.

He pointed to figures like Senator Elizabeth Warren and SEC Chair Gary Gensler, accusing them of harming the United States’ competitive edge in the global market.

Powell stated that the crypto industry has been under attack for too long by these officials.

Rudy De La Cruz, a strategic partner at BasedVC, also mentioned that there is a sense of optimism within the crypto community, but according to a Grayscale survey, while voters are divided on the issue on the crypto industry, it is a real concern for many Americans.

The support from organizations and wealthy crypto entrepreneurs for candidates friendly to the crypto industry is more than expected. Everyone wants a president who support business.

Free Ross

Powell believes Trump’s run for the presidency in 2024 could help the U.S. restore and maintain its leadership in blockchain technology.

His post included a photo with Trump and used the hashtag #freeross, referring to Ross Ulbricht, who is serving a life sentence without parole, plus 40 years, for his role in creating and running the Silk Road, an online black market.

Another U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced too on June 20 that he would free Ross Ulbricht if elected in November.

Kennedy argued that Ulbricht has been imprisoned for too long, receiving two life sentences for operating an e-commerce platform where illegal activities took place.

Kennedy also mentioned that he would be signing a petition for Ulbricht’s release and urged others to do the same.
